Description:
The opportunity

We are currently looking for a site-based Minesite Cleaner to join the team at our Duketon operation.

Reporting to the Village Supervisor, the Minesite Cleaner plays a key role in maintaining a high-quality working environment for all personnel. This role is responsible for upholding high cleaning standards across the site.

This is a site-based role working on a FIFO 2:1 roster

The main responsibilities of this role include:
Take ownership of personal safety and that of colleagues through a proactive approach towards behavioural safety, hazard identification and risk management
Maintain areas to statutory hygiene standards
Cleaning of mine site offices, ablution blocks and associated areas
Operate within laundry services, including washing and drying of towels and uniforms
Emptying rubbish bins
Safe handling of chemicals
Organisation of crib rooms and internal stock ordering

About you

To be successful for this role, you will have:
Cleaning experience (desirable)
Demonstrated experience working in a remote environment
Physically manage repetitive and physical tasks, including heavy lifting and bending
Ability to work 10-12-hour shifts
Demonstrated experience of working autonomously, as well as in a small team
A solid work ethic and strong desire to do things safely and efficiently
Current WA class C manual driver’s licence (essential)
