Job Summary:
As a Utility Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the efficient operation of various mechanical systems including chillers, compressors, cooling towers, Air Handling Units (AHU), air conditioning (AC) systems, Nitrogen storage units, High-Speed Diesel (HSD) systems, cranes, fans, pumps, motors, and Low Tension/High Tension (LT/HT) Diesel Generators (DG). Your role is crucial in minimizing downtime, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring the safety of all mechanical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems such as chillers, compressors, cooling towers, AHU, AC systems, and Nitrogen storage units.
Ensure the operational efficiency of HSD systems, cranes, fans, pumps, motors, and LT/HT DGs.
Diagnose issues, replace defective parts, and perform necessary adjustments to maintain system performance.
• System Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Monitor the performance of mechanical systems, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
• Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and environmental standards.
Participate in safety training and emergency response drills.
• Record Keeping and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs.
Document parts inventory and order supplies and parts as needed.
• Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to coordinate maintenance and repair activities.
Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external vendors or contractors as required.
