US GAAP Accountant (Remote)
Job Description
Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location. Indicative range: $70,000 – $105,000 (USD equivalent), plus benefits.
Role Overview
We are hiring a US GAAP Accountant to own technical accounting and reporting under US GAAP. The role combines deep technical knowledge with operational close discipline — making sure the books are right, on time, and audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Own technical accounting interpretation and application under US GAAP
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities for assigned areas
- Document accounting policies and memos for complex transactions
- Support external audit, including PBC schedules and auditor inquiries
- Partner with FP&A and operations on accurate financial reporting
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 4+ years in accounting under US GAAP
- CPA or actively pursuing CPA preferred
- Strong technical knowledge across revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), and equity
- Hands-on with NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills and clean documentation discipline
- Big 4 audit background is a plus
