Job Description

Role (Why position exists): Working in the capacity of Category & Inventory Planner and would be responsible for partnering with the business in the selection, implementation, and on-going management of planning & allocation strategies to manage the business and maximize profitability throughout the product lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities:
• Annual / Seasonal Sales & Assortment Planning.
• ABP Vs. Achievement.
• YOY growth of Focus Category.
• Sales Mix in overall Sales.
• Inventory ageing (above +0 days) as percentage of total inventory.
• Life Cycle Management.
• Department & MRP level weekly Stock Review at cluster level & store level and Plan for store to Stock Transfer.
• Monitoring of GTO, GRC to ensure timely outward.
• Line Fill.
• New Store Fill.
• Designing Promotions (Liquidation of Age Inventory / Slow Movers).
• Review Mechanism, Weekly, Monthly & Quarterly.
• Starting with season launch to end of season stock planning.
• Before season launch, Depth, option, color, size analysis.
• Product selection and blocking for the season.
• Defining the season inventory store wise.
• STR track and ensure desired achievement.
• Stock transfer and allocation depend upon requirement.
• ARS update and deactivate depending on up seasonal approach.
• Ensure option wise stock movement to the store as per planned.
• Budget wise sale track and ensure 100% target achievement and LFL store growth.
• New store planning and base stock set up.
• Base stock setting and update during season launch.
• Manually allocate stock as on when the gap is there in store.
• Market study and analysis of competitors.
• Mid and end season stock consolidation.
• Fast and slow movers tracking and consolidation.
• EOSS Planning
• Festive Planning and forecasting as per the budget allotted.
• Ensure size and variant available across all stores.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelors degree with MBA in Retail Management or Marketing with atleast Eight years of relevant experience in handling various facets of Retail Planning especially Allocation & Inventory Planning along with conducting market research, developing retail strategies and liaising with Operations & SCM for providing market intelligence feedback & suggestions with a view to maximize operational efficiency.
