Job Description
Job Summary
The Junior Engineer will be responsible for supervising the daily production and operational activities across the plant/facility to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations. The incumbent will monitor manpower, machinery, production output, and quality compliance while coordinating with various departments to achieve operational targets. The Junior Engineer will work under the guidance of and report directly to the Senior Engineer/Production Manager, providing regular updates on production performance, operational issues, and improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Daily Operations Supervision:
• Supervise and monitor day-to-day production and operational activities on the shop floor.
• Ensure production schedules and daily targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate workforce deployment and monitor productivity across assigned areas.
• Oversee machine operations and ensure uninterrupted production flow.
• Identify operational issues and escalate them to the Senior Engineer when required.
Reporting & Communication:
• Prepare and submit daily production and operations reports to the Reporting Manager.
• Report production performance, downtime, quality concerns, and manpower utilization.
• Maintain accurate records of daily production activities and operational metrics.
• Provide timely updates on breakdowns, process deviations, and corrective actions.
Production & Process Control:
• Monitor production output to ensure compliance with quality and process standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Support the implementation of process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure compliance with SOPs and company policies.
Team Coordination:
• Guide and supervise operators and technicians during daily operations.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Stores departments to ensure smooth plant operations.
Experience:
• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or plant operations.
Required Skills:
• Understanding of production processes and manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and safety standards.
• Ability to read technical drawings and engineering documents.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good leadership and team coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and production reporting tools.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay: Up to ₹15,000.00 per month
