Job Description
Position :-Assistant manager / Manager.( Medical Underwriting)
Location : Seawoods( Navi Mumbai)

Experience : 3 to 5 Years of experience from insurance Industry.
Qualification :- Any Graduate / MBA.
Responsibilities
• Underwriting Medical cases in line with the department TAT
• Underwriting individual cases within delegated financial authority
• Revival Underwriting / Group Underwriting
Activities:-
• Underwriting of cases and analysis of all risk areas so as to take diligent underwriting decisions within the delegated financial authority.
• Referring high sum assured cases to reinsurer follow up for speedy decision
• Informing RUUs about the new changes in the system by giving them necessary instructions detailed process flow to be followed
• Solving queries arising from various branches relating to underwriting aspects.
• Underwriting of revival cases received from PS Dept
Interactions:-
• Managers for discussion countersignature of cases beyond financial limit
• RUUs for solving queries
• NB Department with respect to policy checking cases
• Policy servicing Department with respect to revival alteration cases
Measure of Success:-
• Underwriting maximum no. of medical cases on the same day maintaining department TAT for and all other cases that require follow up and further processing.
• Ensure Zero observations and non- conformities in concurrent, reinsurance and IRDA audits.
• Underwrite the maximum number of proposals during the financial year.
• Improving efficiency of the Department by constant enhancement in process system.
• Helping Department in taking corrective preventive measure by doing various analysis by taking necessary action giving proper instructions to reinsurer. Solving of queries received through mails or underwriting query box attending them on the same day
