UK Tax Technology – Associate
At PwC, our Tax Technology teams work at the intersection of tax, technology, and innovation to deliver scalable, technology enabled solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. We combine technical capability with creative thinking to build tools and products that enhance tax compliance, reporting, and decision making.
As a UK Tax Technology Associate, you will be a hands‑on contributor supporting the design, build, and enhancement of tax technology solutions. Working closely with tax specialists, developers, and product teams, you will help translate tax processes and requirements into automated, user‑focused technology solutions. Your work will span different stages of the solution lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvements.
Driven by curiosity and a learning mindset, you are a reliable team member who adapts quickly in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. You work with a range of clients and colleagues, each presenting different challenges and learning opportunities. You take ownership of your work, focus on quality, and consistently deliver outcomes that create value for clients and contribute to team success. As you grow within the firm, you begin building your professional brand and expanding your technical and tax expertise.

• Foundational knowledge of UK tax concepts (e.g. VAT, CIT, WHT, IHT) and the ability to help translate tax processes into technology‑enabled solutions.
• Basic to intermediate experience with modern technology stacks and software development through academic, project, or early professional experience.
• Exposure to delivering technology solutions in the tax domain and working with stakeholders to meet delivery goals.
Skills We’d Love to See (Nice to Have)
• Accounting or tax qualification (or progress toward one), such as ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with AI or automation use cases in tax technology.
Understanding of ERP systems, data flows, and tax operating models within client environments.
