UAV Robotics Engineer
Job Description
Develop and implement
UAV autonomy algorithms
for path planning, obstacle avoidance, and basic collaborative behaviors using
VIO and SLAM-based approaches .
Integrate and test perception and navigation algorithms in
simulation and real flight environments .
Work closely with
embedded, avionics, and systems teams
to ensure seamless integration of robotics algorithms with UAV hardware.
Perform
debugging, tuning, and performance optimization
of robotics software during bench tests and field trials.
Assist in preparing
technical documentation , including system architecture, algorithm flow, test results, and integration notes.
Support continuous improvement of UAV autonomy features based on test feedback and operational requirements.
Skills & Competencies
2–3 years of hands-on experience
in robotics, UAV systems, or autonomous platforms.
Proficiency in
Python
and working knowledge of
Lua scripting .
Practical experience with
ROS 2
and robotics middleware tools.
Working knowledge of
V-SLAM, VIO (Visual Inertial Odometry), and Visual Obstacle Avoidance
techniques.
Experience interfacing with
robotic hardware and sensors , including cameras, IMUs, GPS, and
LiDAR .
Exposure to deploying robotics or AI software on
embedded platforms
such as
NVIDIA Jetson (Nano / Xavier)
or
Snapdragon-based systems .
Understanding of
path planning and motion planning algorithms
used in mobile robotics or UAVs.
Strong fundamentals in
algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming .
Basic to intermediate experience with
machine learning and computer vision algorithms
relevant to robotics applications.
Familiarity with
UAV flight stacks
such as
PX4, Ardupilot, or Pixhawk .
