What You’ll Do
Tutor students 1:1 or in small groups
Follow expectations set by our partner agencies
Use required assessments to determine instructional levels
Submit brief session notes with required data
What We’re Looking For
Strong skills in math, reading, or both
Reliable availability (minimum 3 hours/week)
Comfortable using Zoom and basic technology
Strong communication and organization skills
Reliable transportation for in-person roles
Experience tutoring or working with students preferred
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 3 per week

Up to what level of math can you tutor: Grades K-5, Grades 6-8 (must be able to do Algebra 1), Grades 9-10 (must be able to do Algebra 1 & Geometry), Grades 10-11 (Must be able to do Algebra 2 & Pre-Calculus), or Grades 11-12 (Must be able to do Calculus & Statistics)
Are you willing to do a level 2 background check, which includes fingerprinting, tutor covers cost?
Are you willing to tutor in-person at the students home or a public library?
Up to what level of ELA can you tutor: Grades K-5, Grades 6-8, Grades 9-12 - ELA is reading, writing, literature, grammar (English Language Arts)?
Up to what level of science can you tutor: Grades K-5, Grades 6-8 (must be able to do Space & Life Sciences), Grades 9-10 (must be able to do Biology), Grades 10-11 (Must be able to do Biology & Chemistry), or Grades 11-12 (Must be able to do Chemistry & Physics)
Up to what level of social studies & history can you tutor: Grades K-5, Grades 6-8 (must be able to do Civics), Grades 9-10 (must be able to do World History), Grades 10-11 (Must be able to do U.S. History, American Government & Economics), or Grades 11-12 (Must be able to do U.S. History, American Government & Economics, & European History)
