Job Description
Job Title: Clinical Cost Savings Specialist
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced clinical cost savings specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, healthcare administration, or business administration and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement cost-saving strategies in clinical areas, including services, products, and processes
Analyze data to identify areas of improvement and optimize resource allocation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
4+ years of progressive clinical experience, with 2+ years of management-related experience in a hospital setting
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration
Current State of Nevada Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
1+ year of experience with hospital supply chain processes and clinical product evaluation
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including Tableau, Excel, or similar platforms
Preferred Requirements:
Certifications in healthcare value analysis or Lean Six Sigma
Knowledge and Skills:
Nursing process, standards of care, disease process, medical equipment, patient care plan development, patient evaluation and assessment techniques
Pharmacology and medication administration, Nurse Practice Act, department and hospital safety practices and procedures
Federal, state, and local laws and regulations affecting healthcare services and Joint Commission Accreditation for Health Organizations (JCAHO) standards
Quality assurance and performance improvement principles and methods, statistical analysis methods and practices, reporting writing
