Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR Tech First Assist for a hospital operating room position requiring strong cardiac and endovascular skills.
Details
Position is based in a hospital operating room specializing in cardiovascular procedures
Day shift with 8-hour shifts and no on-call requirements
Patient population includes both adult cardiac and vascular surgery cases
Role requires assisting in cardiac and endovascular surgeries as First Assist
Requirements
Minimum of 18 months full-time experience within a CVOR setting of similar acuity within the last 3 years
Must have significant experience and competency with cardiac, vascular, and endovascular procedures, demonstrating strong skills in all
Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience as a CVOR Surgical Tech First Assist
License required if applicable
No local candidates permitted; applicants must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Returning staff must have been separated for at least 1 year, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
Additional Information
Position requires active participation in complex cardiac and endovascular surgeries as a First Assist
Strict rules apply for requesting time off: maximum of 5 days if not around a holiday, maximum of 3 days if on or near a holiday, and only 1 holiday request allowed
Requests for several consecutive days off during holidays will not be approved, days off must be spread out
Candidates may only be considered for one position at a time
Completion of perioperative services questionnaire regarding cannulations and cardiac case types is required for consideration
