Frontier Travel is a well-established, independently owned Virtuoso Travel Agency, renowned for delivering exceptional service, expertise, and travel experiences. With our main office based in Sydney and a reputation for excellence, we’re excited to expand our office in Hobart with this new role.
Located in the Hobart CBD, you will work closely with the Director, assisting with both leisure and corporate travel arrangements within Australia and internationally.
About the Role
As a Travel Advisor in the Development Program, you'll begin an exciting career path, developing your skills under the direct mentorship of our experienced Director. You will provide essential support in booking administration, creating detailed travel arrangements such as flights, hotels, cruises, car rentals, and transfers. Your role will cover both domestic and international itineraries for a diverse clientele, spanning leisure travelers seeking memorable holidays to corporate clients requiring seamless travel management.
You will learn the intricacies of travel planning, from crafting month-long luxury European journeys to organising efficient business trips across Asia. This role will include a broad range of training, ensuring you gain comprehensive, industry relevant qualifications.
This is an in-person role and is not suitable for Work From Home.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Understands travel and what emotions and feelings that travel can create
Is naturally friendly, outgoing, and able to quickly establish rapport with clients
Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
Pays meticulous attention to detail
Demonstrates an exceptional phone manner and professional presentation
Can think creatively and solve problems proactively
Is passionate about travel, with strong knowledge or genuine enthusiasm for domestic and international destinations
Is tech-savvy and comfortable navigating multiple systems
Has a positive "can-do" attitude
Previous experience in customer service or sales will be advantageous but is not essential.
