Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Training Specialist – Housekeeping role based in Ahmedabad.
The Training
Specialist will design, deliver, and evaluate housekeeping training programs for on-ground teams, ensuring adherence to company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Daily responsibilities include conducting class-room and on-the-job training sessions, preparing training materials and SOPs, and demonstrating cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety practices. The role involves assessing skill gaps, tracking training completion, maintaining training records, and providing regular feedback and coaching to housekeeping staff and supervisors.
The Training
Specialist will collaborate with operations and quality teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives, support new site transitions, and address client feedback related to housekeeping performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and deliver induction, refresher, and skill-development training programs for housekeeping and facility staff.
• Train employees on cleaning procedures, equipment handling, chemical usage, waste management, and hygiene standards.
• Conduct training on workplace safety, PPE usage, emergency response, and compliance requirements.
• Assess training needs through site visits, audits, performance reviews, and client feedback.
• Develop training materials, SOPs, presentations, manuals, and assessment tools.
• Monitor trainee performance and conduct practical and theoretical evaluations.
• Maintain training records, attendance reports, certifications, and compliance documentation.
• Support new site mobilization by training deployed housekeeping teams.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and client-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with operations teams to identify skill gaps and implement corrective training.
• Track training effectiveness through audits, productivity metrics, and quality scores.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, cleaning technologies, and facility management trends.
• Conduct frequent visits to multiple client locations for on-site training, operational audits, coaching, performance assessments, and implementation of training initiatives.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Facility Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Certification in Training & Development, Housekeeping Operations, or Facility Management is preferred.
Experience
• 3–7 years of experience in housekeeping, facility management, or training functions.
• Experience in corporate facilities, hospitals, commercial buildings, hospitality, or integrated facility services is preferred.
Other Required Skills
• Strong training and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning chemicals, and equipment.
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct assessments and prepare training reports.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Team management and coaching abilities.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
