We are looking for a motivated reliable full-time permanent Tractor/Van Driver to join our team in Gisborne region. The ideal candidate should be able to drive company vehicles and have a good understanding of modern farming tractors and other farm machinery.
We will provide at least 30 guaranteed hours of work per week. Additionally, the hourly rate offered for this role is between $27-$32 per hour and requires a minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Driver of any class. Suitable candidates must be capable of performing the following Tasks.
Driving Vans, Tractors and other farm implements and Class 1 vehicles.
Pick up employees in the morning and drop them to work sites in wider Gisborne region.
Moving goods/labour to different locations/ work sites during the day where required.
Drop off every worker to their homes safely upon the completion of their shift.
Performing inspections of all company vehicles and attachments and ensuring they are well-lubricated.
Completing everyday vehicle checklist to ensure vehicle is in compliance with NZTA road checks.
Taking vehicles to workshop or garage for regular servicing and other maintenance work.
Checking oil and coolant level regularly and completing logs and reports
Report any faults or concerns to the Manager.
Remain alert while driving and maintain the appropriate speed limit at all times.
Operating tractors and other vehicles safely and efficiently.
Using Vans/tractors to transport materials and pull or push Horticultural equipment.
Operating other farm equipment if required
Collect all punnets and load into Delivery Vehicles
Deliver a wide variety of items such as tools or equipment to different addresses and through different routes within the Region
Follow routes and schedule.
Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle.
Follow HS regulations and safety standards.
Applicants for this role must have NZ class 1 or equivalent international license. Applicants hold overseas license must be willing to obtain NZ license as required training will be provided.
