Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain cell tower components including antennas, RF (radio frequency) equipment, fiber optic splicing, and cabling systems following blueprint specifications.
Conduct tower climbing operations using proper safety protocols and fall protection gear in accordance with OSHA standards.
Perform telecommunications testing with specialized equipment to verify signal integrity and network performance across 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G systems.
Execute high-angle rescue operations when necessary, ensuring safety at all times during outdoor work on high structures.
Operate bucket trucks and bucket operation tools safely for elevated tasks such as antenna installation or repairs.
Rigging and welding tasks required for structural modifications or repairs on towers or related infrastructure.
Follow federal construction safety regulations and telecommunication safety standards diligently during all field service activities.
Collaborate with team members to implement construction fall protection systems and adhere strictly to safety protocols during tower climbing and outdoor work environments.
Utilize telecommunications testing equipment for RF testing, cable testing, and troubleshooting network issues efficiently.
Assist in the implementation of new technologies like fiber splicing for expanding network capacity and coverage.
Skills
Extensive experience working as a cell tower technician with a strong understanding of antenna tower climbing and outdoor work environments.
Proficiency in high voltage, low voltage electrical systems, fiber splicing, and cabling techniques.
Skilled in telecommunications fall protection gear usage, tower climbing techniques, and construction fall protection systems.
Knowledge of radio frequency (RF) testing procedures for 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G networks using specialized testing equipment.
Ability to interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications accurately for installation projects.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, telecommunication testing equipment, rigging hardware, welding tools, and bucket trucks or bucket operations.
Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence including OSHA standards during all aspects of tower work.
Construction experience preferred with familiarity in federal construction safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently.
Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure project success.

Pay: $600.00 - $1,300.00 per week
