Job Description
Evolve Early Learning Centre is currently looking for a toddler room leader, this role includes overseeing and guiding the educational and care practices within our 2-3 classroom.
The applicant must hold their diploma in children's services and have room leader experience, a current Working With Children's Check, First Aid and CPR certificate.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Planning: Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for toddlers.
Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of children while fostering a nurturing environment.
Staff Management: Lead and mentor assistant teachers or caregivers, providing guidance in daily activities and classroom management.
Communication: Maintain open communication with parents about children's progress and classroom activities, addressing any concerns or questions.
Observation and Assessment: Monitor and assess children's development, adapting activities to meet individual needs and interests.
Health and Safety: Ensure that health and safety standards are met and that children are in a clean, safe environment.
Qualities:
Patience and Understanding: Recognise that toddlers are at a developmental stage where they are learning to express themselves and navigate social interactions.
Creative and Resourceful: Ability to engage young children with play-based learning experiences.
Strong Communicator: Skills in clearly communicating with both children and parents.
Organizational Skills: Managing multiple tasks and maintaining a structured routine.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $32.00 – $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
