Key Result Areas/Accountabilities: Supporting Actions Staying current with progress in materials modelling Conduct literature review to identify new material models for aluminum alloys Interact with Novelis, academic institutes and vendors to understand current trends in material modeling Identify opportunities for collaborations with academic institutions and suppliers to introduces new techniques and capabilities to HIC Develop material models relevant to Hindalco FRP plants Identify opportunities for modeling various operations like homogenization, hot rolling, annealing etc Identify appropriate models from literature and calibrate using Hindalco data Validate the model through lab/plant trials Develop material models relevant to Hindalco extrusions plants Identify opportunities for modeling various operations like homogenization, extrusion, solutionzing and aging etc Identify appropriate models from literature and calibrate using Hindalco extrusion data Validate the model through lab/plant trials Deploy developed models to support FRP and Extrusion product and process development Collaborate with R&D engineers at HIC to identify projects amenable for modeling support Run digital DOE to analyze various scenario Provide recommendations and strategies for plant trials Integrate material models to process models to build a through process model Collaborate with process modeling SME to identify opportunities for incorporating material models in process models Generate data and develop models to provide inputs to process models Use process data as inputs to material models to predict material properties Knowledge management Assist in establishing robust sample, report and project data management system Prepare reports on defects, NPD and new process development projects in applicable formats Disseminate reports as appropriate and store in knowledge management porta
