Responsibilities
The Night Receptionist is essential in facilitating the smooth operation of evening outpatient services
This includes welcoming clients attending evening treatment activities, directing them to groups and individual counseling, and assisting with various administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining cleanliness and order within the outpatient clinic
An important aspect of this role involves providing excellent customer service and communication, relaying messages to staff members, and ensuring therapists are promptly informed of patient arrivals
The position demands a professional demeanor and the ability to maintain order in the waiting room, especially when entry doors are locked
Given the sensitive client environment, which includes individuals with poor social skills, mental illness, and substance abuse challenges, employees must respond appropriately within the treatment context and maintain interactions that uphold the respect and care central to The Salvation Army's mission
Additional responsibilities may include providing coverage at the Harbor Light Residential desk and performing other duties as assigned
