Job Description
Department: Design / Product Development
Location: Mahalaxmi,Mumbai
Experience: 3–8 years (Home Textile Export House preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop prints, patterns, and layouts for products such as bedsheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, cushions, and quilts in line with international market trends.
• Create seasonal mood boards, trend forecasts, and color palettes as per buyer requirements and brand positioning.
• Work closely with the sampling, merchandising, and marketing teams to translate concepts into physical samples.
• Ensure designs meet customer specifications, including size, repeat, and color accuracy.
• Maintain technical files, CAD artworks, and print data for production.
• Coordinate with mills/printers for strike-off approvals and color matching.
• Research global design trends, competitor collections, and new fabric or surface techniques.
• Present collections to clients and support in product range presentations for trade shows or buyer meetings.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Degree/Diploma in Textile Design / Fashion & Textile / Applied Arts.
• Strong knowledge of repeat design, colour separation, and textile print techniques (print, embroidery, jacquard).
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Good understanding of fabric types, weaving, dyeing, and finishing processes.
• Creative mindset with a strong sense of colour, composition, and detailing.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Background:
• Experience with international home textile buyers (e.g., Walmart, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc.) is a major plus.
• Exposure to export documentation and product specification sheets.
