Job Description
We are seeking a talented and creative Textile Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Textile Designer at Jisora, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualising and creating textile designs that align with our brand identity and resonate with our diverse customer base. From intricate prints to captivating color schemes, you will contribute to the development of our collections, infusing each piece with artistry and style.
Responsibilities:
• Textile Design: Design and develop original textile patterns, prints, and motifs inspired by diverse cultural influences, trends, and brand aesthetics.
• Color Palette Development: Curate compelling color palettes that complement our design vision and resonate with our target audience, ensuring harmony and cohesion across collections.
• Research and Inspiration: Stay abreast of emerging trends, techniques, and innovations in textile design, drawing inspiration from art, culture, nature, and beyond.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the design team to translate conceptual ideas into tangible textile designs, fostering collaboration and creative synergy.
• Technical Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and CAD software to create digital representations of textile designs, ensuring accuracy and precision in execution.
• Sample Development: Oversee the development of textile samples, providing guidance and feedback to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks on textile prototypes and production samples, addressing any discrepancies and making necessary revisions.
• Communication: Effectively communicate design concepts, ideas, and requirements to internal stakeholders and external partners, fostering clear and concise collaboration.
• Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to evolving project timelines, priorities, and market demands.
• Sustainability Focus: Integrate sustainable practices and materials into textile design processes, supporting our commitment to environmental stewardship and ethical sourcing.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Textile Designer in the fashion industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative prowess and technical proficiency.
• Expertise in textile printing techniques, color theory, and pattern development.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant design software.
• Strong conceptualization skills, with the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling designs.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for innovation, sustainability, and cultural diversity in design.
