Job description
Job Title: Textile CAD Designer
Location: F28/J Malviya Nagar Industrial Area, Jaipur 302017
Department: Design/Creative
Reports To: Design Manager/Creative Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Textile CAD Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textile design and be proficient in CAD software, creating innovative and market-driven textile designs. The role involves collaborating with the design team, translating ideas into digital designs, and ensuring that all patterns and prints meet the highest standards of quality. We are looking for an immediate joiner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design Development:
• Create original textile designs, prints, and patterns using CAD software.
• Develop repeats, colorways, and placement prints according to project requirements.
• Translate hand-drawn or conceptual designs into detailed CAD designs.
• Trend Research:
• Conduct trend research and market analysis to stay current with the latest fashion and textile trends.
• Integrate trend insights into design concepts to ensure relevance in the market.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with the design, product development, and merchandising teams to align designs with brand vision and market needs.
• Communicate design concepts and ideas effectively through digital presentations and mood boards.
• Technical Specifications:
• Prepare detailed technical specifications for designs, including color standards, material selections, and production techniques.
• Ensure all CAD files are accurately maintained and easily accessible.
• Sampling & Production:
• Collaborate with the production team to oversee the development of fabric samples.
• Review samples for quality and design accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.
• Innovation & Creativity:
• Continuously explore new techniques, tools, and software to enhance design quality and efficiency.
• Experiment with various design methods to produce innovative and commercially viable designs.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 2+ years of experience in textile design with proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, NedGraphics, or similar tools).
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of textile designs, prints, and patterns.
• Skills:
• Excellent understanding of textile properties, fabrics, and printing techniques.
• Strong artistic skills with attention to detail and color sense.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in CAD software specific to textile design.
• Familiarity with digital printing processes and production methods.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the fashion or home textiles industry.
• Knowledge of sustainable textile design practices.
• Familiarity with 3D design software and virtual prototyping.
Work Environment:
• Office-based with occasional visits to production facilities and textile shows/exhibitions.
Salary:
₹2.60 LPA (Lakhs per Annum)
