Job Description
Location: grand forks
Overview
School District No. 51 (Boundary) encompasses 11 school sites from Big White Ski Resort east to Christina Lake, as well as 2 bus/maintenance garages and a school board office located in Grand Forks. The District employs approximately 275 employees, serves 1,300 students in K-12 and administers an annual budget of $20,000,000.
Position
We are currently looking for teachers on call. Duties include regular substitute teaching work at the elementary and secondary level in SD 51. You must be B.C. certified and in good standing with the Teacher Regulation Branch.
Qualifications
• A certificate of qualification issued under the Teachers Act;
• A Bachelor of Education or equivalent;
• Recent successful teaching experience and/or training at the primary level;
• Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture, history and communities;
• Willingness to integrate appropriate Indigenous content and resources into educational programs;
• Demonstrated strong classroom management skills;
• Have a working understanding of the revised BC curriculum;
• Have a demonstrated successful ability to use
