Job description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Buyer for a Mumbai-based position.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Purchase Department, preferably within the shipping or related industries. The role involves handling strategic procurement activities, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely, cost-effective sourcing of technical and operational supplies.
Position: QCD Purchase Executive
Location: Mumbai
Responsibilities
• Receive food requisitions from the ships, analyze them and subsequently invite quotations from prospective vendors at the given port.
• Review vendor quotations, seek clarifications as necessary, negotiate on credit & supply terms, rebates, etc. & subsequently submit to the Catering Manager for approval.
• Issue Purchase Order to the chosen vendors in line with the final quantities approved and as per the pricing submitted.
• Follow up with vendors for additional prices & subsequently issued additional / supplementary orders.
Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years in Hospitality Industry / food purchase
• Candidates must hold a graduate degree in any discipline
