Job Description
Prefered candidate with an excellent communication skill and a strong subject knowledge
Subject: All subjects, Yoga and PE (preferably female), Dance, Art & Craft, Handwritting and Story Telling, Library
Qualification: For all Subjects B.Ed. is a must and relevant degrees and certifications for other positions
Ability to commute/relocate: Perumbakkam
Experience: 2 years
Responsibilities:
Use the best teaching pedagogies like play-way method, skills-based approach to learning, encourage learning through games, simulations, role-plays, storytelling etc.Encourage children to compete with themselves by helping them set targets, review performance or track progress and devise plans for improvement periodically.Develop curiosity and interest amongst the children and give them the confidence to share their ideas and relate their own experiences.Encourage students to expand their creativity, thinking and problem-solving skills.Promote experiential learning and make learning fun.Contribute to departmental planning, execution and promotional activities.Undertake any additional task / responsibilities as directed by the Heads / Principal.Involve and be active all the time in the various activities planned for the children by the school.Identify the diverse learners and use cooperative learning strategies to enhance learning.Set meaningful tasks which encourages high levels of interest among students. Provide clear structures for lessons, maintaining pace, motivation and challenge.Ensure development of students keeping in mind safety and hygiene.Make effective use of assessment and ensure coverage of programmes of study as formulated in the curriculum and ensure effective teaching.Maintain an appropriate class environment in accordance with the School's value system encourage good practice with regard to punctuality and behaviour.Develop students to practice a healthy and competitive spirit, build co-operation, leadership, diligence and team spirit.Make use of effective questioning, listen carefully to students, give attention to errors and misconceptions.Select and recommend appropriate learning resources and develop study skills.Evaluate own teaching critically to improve effectiveness and encourage peer class observations.Assess how well learning objectives have been achieved and use them to improve specific aspects of teaching.Encourage students to participate in co-curricular / extra-curricular activities.Assess the progress of the students periodically and maintain records.Prepare and present student achievement reports to parents.
