Job Description
Somerville House is a day and boarding school for girls established in 18++, providing exceptional education for students from Prep through to Year 12, with a co-educational Pre-Prep offering. A fixed-term full-time opportunity is available for an experienced Teacher of Japanese. This position will commence on 20 January 2026 until 07 March 2026.
Our ideal candidate will have taught Japanese within an Independent School, (Years 6–12), with excellent knowledge of, and experience with, the QCAA and Australian Curriculum for Japanese, and within the context of a girl's school environment.
Whilst maintaining a high standard of learning and teaching, the Teacher of Languages will be a collaborative, innovative and a future-focused colleague.

It is a mandatory requirement to hold the appropriate tertiary qualifications and current Queensland Teacher Registration (QCT).
Employment Classification
The salary and conditions of employment for Academic staff are in accordance with the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association (PMSA) Enterprise Agreement 2021, as varied or replaced from time-to-time.
