We are currently on the hunt for an experienced Tax Senior to join our dynamic and fast-paced Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, providing innovative solutions to complex tax issues. The Tax Senior will play a crucial role in tax planning, compliance, and preparation, leveraging their expertise in tax law and accounting. This role is perfect for a forward-thinking tax professional, who is eager to make a significant impact within a leading organization.
Responsibilities
As a Tax Senior, you will be expected to
• Manage and coordinate tax audits, ensuring all tax returns are accurate and compliant with local, state, and federal tax laws.
• Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements, identifying potential tax liabilities and ensuring accurate tax provision.
• Provide strategic tax planning advice to clients, helping them navigate complex tax scenarios and optimize their tax positions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and communicate relevant changes to the team and clients.
• Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual tax reports, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline tax processes and improve overall efficiency.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Tax Senior role should possess
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification would be a plus.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting, with a strong emphasis on tax compliance and preparation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them in various business scenarios.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to scrutinize large volumes of data and identify key trends and patterns.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Proficiency in tax software and other relevant IT tools.
• A proactive approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• A strong commitment to professional ethics and integrity.
