Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a solid understanding of financial services. The Tax Preparer will work closely with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide expert advice on tax-related matters. Must have 3 years' experience
Responsibilities
Prepare and file tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Analyze financial information to determine tax liabilities and identify potential deductions.
Account for various income sources, including investments, payroll, and accounts payable.
Utilize accounting software such as Xero to maintain accurate financial records.
Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Provide clients with guidance on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Assist clients in gathering necessary documentation for audits or inquiries from tax authorities.
Skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Tax Cycle or similar platforms.
Knowledge of financial auditing processes and best practices.
Experience in providing financial services related to tax preparation.
Familiarity with payroll systems and accounts payable processes.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills for effective client interaction.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts efficiently.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
