The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and proficiency with various accounting software to accurately prepare tax returns for individual and business clients. Duties
Prepare federal tax returns for individuals using advanced tax software.
Review financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and bank statements to ensure accuracy.
Conduct analysis of financial data to identify potential deductions, credits, and compliance issues.
Perform account reconciliation and review accounts payable, payroll, and bookkeeping records for accuracy.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and changes affecting clients’ filings.
Utilize accounting software and other tools to streamline processes.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and ensure timely submission of tax documents.
Requirements
Proven experience in tax preparation or accounting roles with familiarity in accounting software.
Ability to learn quickly, and strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
Knowledge of auditing procedures, accounts reconciliation, payroll processing, accounts payable management, and bookkeeping practices.
Experience in financial services including investment analysis and budgeting is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines during busy tax seasons.
Certification in accounting or tax preparation is preferred but not required.
Ability to adapt quickly to new regulations and software updates.
