Your Role:
As a Tax Associate at H&R Block, you will be supported by a dedicated team that will equip you with the essential tax training needed for success. You'll enjoy the flexibility and potential for extra earnings to help embrace your unique lifestyle.
• Conduct tax interviews with clients in person as well as through virtual platforms such as video, phone, and chat.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Facilitate business growth, enhance client retention, and offer additional financial products and services.
• Assist clients in dealing with IRS inquiries.
• Collaborate with your team to meet office priorities.
• Expand your tax knowledge continuously.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Previous experience in customer service or retail is a plus.
• Proven experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
• Willingness to work between 25-35 hours weekly during tax season, with up to 40 hours during peak times.
What You Bring:
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
• Comfort using virtual communication tools such as video, phone, and chat.
• Strong communication skills in person, over the phone, and in writing.
• Meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
