About the role
QIC is seeking an experienced Tax Advisor to join their high-performing, collaborative team. This role is well suited to someone looking to expand their commercial exposure, strengthen their technical capability, and build a long-term career within a dynamic investment environment.
Reporting to the Director Tax Assurance, you’ll work closely with a collaborative and technically strong Tax team to support both investment and corporate functions. You will gain broad exposure across direct and indirect tax, tax governance, structuring, and complex investment activity, making this an ideal next step for a capable and commercially minded tax professional.
Key responsibilities:
Review and contribute to tax compliance workpapers and returns across corporate entities and property trusts, including relevant foreign tax obligations.
Provide practical tax advice to internal clients and undertake research to support senior team members on more complex topics.
Assist with tax governance documentation and process improvements.
Provide guidance across income tax, GST, FBT, employment taxes and withholding tax.
Support the ongoing development of QIC’s enterprise tax strategy.
Assist with tax technical training to Finance teams.
About you

You bring:
Experience from a corporate tax division, Big 4 environment or similar.
Holds (or working towards) CA or CPA qualification with strong technical tax expertise.
Possesses solid knowledge of relevant tax legislation, including depreciating assets, capital gains tax and a preliminary understanding of GST and fringe benefits tax.
Excellent analytical and problem solving capability.
Strong time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
