OB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE Tax Accountant
REPORTS MANAGER Manager – Taxation
DIRECT REPORTS IF ANY NA
JOB PURPOSE
To carry out tax accounting, timely payments of statutory liabilities, tax compliances, MIS activities and assist the Manager Taxation on tasks assigned from time to time.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
GST
• Determining & payment of GST including reverse charge mechanism.
• Filing of GST returns such GSTR 1, GSTR- 3B, GSTR + & +C, GSTR 10 etc.
• Application and Cancellation of GST certificate & Filing Refund
• Passing entries in Tally in respect of GST payment & Set-off of inputs.
• Reconciliation of Input Tax Credit with GSTR 2B.
• Reconciliation of Sale Turnover as per books with GSTR 1 & GSTR 3B.
• Co-ordinating with clients in respect of GST queries.
• Co-ordinating with GST Auditor in respect of their GST queries.
• Handling scrutiny work & replying to concern officers.
TDS
• Application of TAN.
• Determining, deduction & payment of TDS on expenses.
• Filing of TDS returns i.e. 24Q, 26Q & 27Q.
• Passing entries in Tally in respect of TDS payment.
• Request and Download Form 16A at the end of each quarter.
• Request and Download Correction data file and Justification report for filing revised TDS returns.
• Reconciliation of TDS returns with Tally.
• Co-ordinating with Tax Auditor in respect of their queries.
INCOME TAX RETURN & ADVANCE TAX
• Having good knowledge of Income Tax Return Filing & provision of Income Tax Act, 1+61.
• Calculation of Advance Tax.
• Reconciliation of TDS Receivable with 26AS.
• Passing entries in Tally in respect of Income Tax Liabilities/Tax Payments/Advance Tax.
• Co-ordinating with client for Income Tax documents for filing returns.
• Co-ordinating with Tax Consultant in respect of their queries.
• Handling scrutiny work & reply to concern officers.
PROFESSION TAX RETURN
• Preparing working for PT Returns.
• Determining, deduction & payment of PT.
• Filing of PTRC return.
• Passing entries in Tally in respect of Income PT.
QUALIFICATION
• Bachelors / Master’s degree / CA Inter or equivalent.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Knowledge of accounts and taxation.
• Previous experience of general accounting & taxation.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting & tax software’s.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• In-depth knowledge of Direct taxes (Income tax, TDS, Advance Tax etc) & Indirect taxes (GST, PT Return etc).
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
• Good Communication skills – English speaking
• Assist with year-end closings
• Prepare tax computations and returns
• Account reconciliations
• Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
KEY RELATIONSHIPS/ CUSTOMERS
Tax Manager, Accounts Manager, Internal Auditor and Accounts & Finance team
Experience: Minimum 1 Year
