Systems Engineer/Technician - Ingénieur/Technicien en systèmes
Job Description
Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless or broadband/LTE
Experience working with Project 25 products (trunked and conventional)
Experience with, a good understanding of, and working knowledge of IP networking, network design methodologies, and troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS)
Experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of:
Workstation Operating Systems, specifically Windows 10 and 11
Switches, specifically Aruba and Juniper
Firewalls, specifically Fortinet and Juniper
Routers, specifically MNR and Juniper
Experience with logging recording systems
Desired to be fluent in both English and French
Desired to be a licensed Professional Engineer or have the proper academic and work experience required to get the accreditation
Strongly desired to live in the BC, AB, or QC area with close proximity to a major airport
Highly Preferred Qualifications
Strong communication, self-management, and people skills
Self-motivated to perform required duties at a distance from direct supervision
Ability to operate under stressful situations
Ability to present complex technical topics to non-technical audiences
Basic Requirements
Willingness to travel extensively as needed (50-60%)
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT or Networking OR 3-5 years of Engineering or Wireless Communications experience
Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident with the ability to obtain RMCP and OPP security clearances
