System Integration Engineer
Job Description
As a key interface between hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams, the successful candidate will lead system-level validation activities, identify and resolve integration issues, and ensure products are production-ready before release. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
Required Skills
• Strong background in electronics hardware and embedded firmware systems, with hands-on experience in validating integrated hardware-software products. Familiar with the full product validation cycle (e.g., EVT, DVT, PVT stages) and associated test processes.
• Proficient in functional, integration, and reliability testing of electronic products, including board-level testing (digital/analog circuits) and system-level verification.
• Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of hardware-firmware issues using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers.
• Experience with Design for Test (DFT) and failure analysis techniques.
• Solid understanding of industry quality standards and regulatory compliance for electronics (e.g., ISO 9001, IPC-A-610 for PCB assembly, safety and EMI/EMC regulations) to ensure products meet all reliability and safety requirements through proper testing.
• Hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum or logic analyzers, and environmental chambers for hardware/firmware validation.
• Ability to develop or utilize test automation scripts and tools to execute test cases and streamline data collection.
• Proficiency in using test management software and defect tracking tools to document test plans, test results, and track bugs through resolution.
• Comfortable with data analysis tools for analyzing test data, calculating statistics (Cp/Cpk, yield), and generating reports on quality metrics.
• Basic PCB design and debugging tools (schematic viewers, logic analysers) to interpret and debug hardware issues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong leadership and team coordination capabilities to drive cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and decisiveness to address technical and logistical challenges promptly.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
• High adaptability, proactive attitude, and ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
Added Benefits
• Proven experience leading projects within a global, cross-cultural environment and coordinating with international teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Experience developing system integration test plans, validation strategies, and end-to-end test execution for hardware and embedded firmware products.
• Exposure to New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and supporting the transition from development to manufacturing.
• Experience establishing end-of-line testing, troubleshooting processes, and production validation methodologies.
• Familiarity with quality metrics, statistical analysis, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Experience preparing test reports, validation documentation, defect summaries, and quality performance reports for stakeholders.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15–20% for supplier visits, customer meetings, audits, and program reviews.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or a related field
