System EngineerKey Responsibilities:-Proactively recommend and implement improvements to the availability and usability of the system. Decommission of Physical and Virtual serversComprehensive knowledge of managed services & ability to work with multiple vendorsCollaborate well with cross-regional teams.Managing Exchange, SharePoint Online, Teams and Office 365 environmentsExperience managing VMware vSphere EnvironmentProven understanding of how application data flows over the network (the firm foundation of the OSI model)Experience managing remote access solutions including Microsoft RDSTo be flexible in supporting all the shifts operating.Reviewing and taking action on Security alerts via e-mail and third-party security vendors.Install, configure, and document Linux, Windows servers and HypervisorsDNS Add, Modify and DeleteThe candidate should hold production support experience in the IT infrastructureExpected to have deep knowledge up to Level 3 on Linux and windows core administration.DevOps skillsets plus having exposure to Jenkins, GIT or SVN, containerization, Kubernetes along with automation using python would be of great advantage. Should have strong communication skills and should be able to perform the following in their daily routine.Working with vendors in an introductory support rolePerform installation and configuration of the operating system and application layers, Windows or Linux servers either stand-alone or virtual within timeframes provided by management.Maintain operational readiness checklist for all supported services.Effective handling of Incidents, Changes, work orders, problem investigation and root cause analysis.Providing recommendations for new server hardware to meet specific requirementsSystem monitoring, profiling, and optimization of startup/boot time, CPU load, and memory bandwidth.Document wiki with the appropriate information as necessary. Address system reliability concerns throughout the product lifecycle (patching, vulnerability fixes). Ability to manage server roles & featuresWorks with vendors and other Fidelity teams to resolve Linux/Windows, and Hypervisor Server build-related issues in a timely fashionProven experience troubleshooting SAN technologiesExperience supporting Active Directory including group policy, PowerShell scripting & domain trustProven experience managing industry-leading cloud provider platforms: Vcloud, Azure, AWS etc.Support Linux/Windows Servers pre-prod compliance patching
