We're looking for someone who understands the complete machining process and can independently take a job from drawing and programming through setup, first-off inspection, troubleshooting, and production.

If you have hands-on Swiss machining experience, strong programming and setup skills, and enjoy solving machining challenges, we'd like to hear from you.

As a Swiss Lathe Programmer/Operator, you will:

Develop and optimize CNC programs, tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and GD&T.
Complete machine setups, including tooling, collets, guide bushings, offsets, and material loading.
Perform first-off inspections and make necessary program, tooling, and machine adjustments.
Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and optical inspection equipment.
Monitor production and make adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy, repeatability, and part quality.
Troubleshoot programming, tooling, machine, and process issues.
Optimize cycle times and machining processes while maintaining quality and tool life.
Work with live tooling, sub-spindles, cross drilling, milling, and other multi-axis operations as required.
Accurately complete required production and quality documentation.
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to troubleshoot and resolve technical or quality issues.
Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow established safety, quality, and operating procedures.
We're looking for someone with:

Previous hands-on experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC Swiss-style lathes.
Strong knowledge of CNC machining principles, cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and work holding.
The ability to develop CNC programs and make program edits and adjustments at the machine.
Strong blueprint-reading and GD&T skills.
Experience producing tight-tolerance precision components.
Strong precision measurement and inspection skills.
The ability to independently troubleshoot machining, programming, and tooling issues.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
The ability to work independently and manage multiple machining priorities.
