This role can be based out of our Canary Wharf, Langley or Birmingham office. Travel to projects will be required.
What you'll be doing
As Supply Chain Manager you will have the following responsibilities:
• Development of the Supply Chain Management Strategy
• Develop Supply Chain Management guidance and deliver support activity
• Lead and manage relationship meetings with key supply partners
• Maintain robust approach to Supply Chain Management benefit capture
• Measure performance against targets
• Develop and drive performance through a Supply Chain Management Dashboard, containing KPIs, Milestones and Risks associated with such topics as:
• Supplier Relationship Management
• Supply Chain Development
• Supply Chain Performance Management
• Supply Chain Risk Management
• Lean workshops/ Process Improvement
• Delivery of Safety, Customer and Delivery related benefits
• Conduct supply chain performance data analysis to develop insight and identify opportunities
• Undertake comprehensive market analysis (e.g. supply chain mapping, RFIs, PQQs, supplier visits/audits, behavioural assessments, etc) to test assumptions made around market dynamics in relation to our proposed procurement strategy (Strong focus on: Capacity, Capability Competence) to inform procurement/delivery teams of relevant threats and opportunities
• Work collaboratively with the Project teams to ensure that our supply chain strategy is positioned to deliver the desired outcomes and facilitate the development of package specific balanced scorecards that reflect the value we want the supply chain to deliver.
• Proactively promote the benefits of supply chain management within Highways
• Embrace an integrated working style to support projects and the wider Business Unit.
• Support projects’ compliance with GMCE and BMS through positive interaction to ensure right first time and industry leading standards in procurement administration.
• Report on the supply chain performance measurement
• engender behavioural activities to develop a more mature and close supply partner base.
• Support embedment of sustainable procurement.
• Support the implementation for Digital Transformation across the Business Unit.
Who we're looking for
The following skills and experience is required:
• Previous Supply Chain experience or relevant transferable skills
• Strong analytical ability
• Ability to build strong relationships with Internal and External stakeholders
• Degree education is desirable but not required.
• Professional membership of the RICS, CIPS or similar is desirable.
