Job Overview
Imperial Dade is the leading distributor of foodservice packaging, facilities maintenance supplies and equipment in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and Canada. As a provider of customized supply chain solutions, the company serves customers in many business-to-business market segments, including supermarkets, grocers, healthcare facilities, education and restaurants.
Salary Range: 55,000 to 60,000 per year
Monday - Friday: 8am to 5pm
The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for compiling large data sets and utilizing output to review tactical key performance measures and provide exception management reporting. The analyst will assist the fast-paced purchasing team in optimizing inventory balancing and flow and will also work to coordinate and arrange for product movement between warehouses. This task will involve regular communication between the purchasing team and the operations team to strategize the timing of when the product is needed to be pulled into the warehouse locations.
Additionally, the Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for compiling vendor-item level data and feedback to properly align a master record according to common identifiers. The analyst will also assist in both new and on-going needs that support better visibility to the purchasing group in any aspect of data, item maintenance, inventory analysis and reporting needs. This position will involve regular communication within the purchasing team and other related Imperial Dade cross-functional groups as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
Leverage enterprise data to drive supply chain optimization projects
Align vendor and item master data in accordance with company standards
Act as a liaison between the purchasing team and the operations team to provide visibility and drive the optimal inventory balancing of the product.
Problem-solving skills: Able to think quickly and use logic and business acumen to solve problems thoroughly and efficiently
Develop a working knowledge of key supply chain concepts, including material procurement strategy, inventory management, warehouse and distribution operations and ERP systems
Highly analytical with associated problem-solving skills. Able to work with large and diverse data sets and disseminate key gaps to achieve desired outcomes, extract, validate, manipulate, and summarize large datasets
Perform ad-hoc analyses, assessment of vendor cost changes, internal inventory transfers, vendor minimum order policies, and vendor lead time changes.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Math or Data Science
Recent graduates and/or up to 3 years of Inventory/supply chain experience preferred
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLookups, data sourcing, formatting, pivot tables are a Must), Power Query and Power BI, and/or Cognos experience is a plus.
