Summer Law Student

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Summer Law Student to join our legal team. This position offers a unique opportunity for law students to gain practical experience in a legal environment. The Summer Law Student will assist with various legal tasks, contribute to ongoing projects, and support attorneys in their daily responsibilities. This role is ideal for individuals eager to apply their academic knowledge in real-world scenarios while developing valuable skills in the legal field.

Duties

Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues relevant to ongoing cases.
Draft legal documents, including memos, briefs, and correspondence.
Assist in the preparation of case files for court proceedings.
Attend client meetings and court hearings as needed.
Collaborate with attorneys on case strategy and development.
Organize and maintain case files and documentation.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for case management.
Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited law school with completion of at least one year of study.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with legal research databases (e.g. LexisNexis) is a plus but not required.
