Under the general supervision of principal, the Substitute Teacher will instruct students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Duties/Responsibilities
• Provides classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans.
• Maintains established routine of the school and classroom procedures.
• Creates and maintains a safe and orderly environment.
• Upholds board policies and follows administrative procedures.
• Consults with building administrators to resolve questions or concerns.
• Maintains the confidentiality of privileged information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience And Certification
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid Substitute License from the Illinois State Board of Education.
• Previous teaching experience with elementary school-aged children preferred.
