Job Title: Student Wellbeing Worker
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Student Wellbeing Worker to join our team of dedicated staff and happy students at Cobram Secondary College.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional student support services, including counselling services.
Support students and work under the direction of the Wellbeing Assistant Principal to develop, coordinate and provide small group tier two interventions to support student mental health and overall wellbeing.
Assist in the day-to-day intake and support processes within the Wellbeing Hub, including following up Year Level Leader concerns for students.
Act as an initial contact person for staff and students accessing the Wellbeing Hub, creating a friendly and welcoming space.
Provide support to individual students to offer counselling.
Requirements
The successful applicant will have:
A strong commitment to wellbeing and educational outcomes for young people.
Demonstrated experience, skills, expertise and knowledge in supporting the wellbeing of students.
A university qualification in Social Work, Counselling or Youth Work, with a focus on working towards completing their degree.
