Stronger Communities Early Action Group Officer
Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works, Northern Region; Service Delivery; Housing & Homelessness Services; Cairns and Mount Isa
The positions work as part of the Early Action Group, a multi-agency group providing case coordination and integrated whole-of-government responses to address youth crime issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Use knowledge and skills in person-centred practice to case coordinate approximately 20 vulnerable youth and their families at a time.
Provide specialist advice to customers and external stakeholders on the department's social housing and private rental products.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the group's projects and initiatives.
Undertake research, analysis, and high-quality advice to the Regional Director and other key stakeholders.
Field work is a regular requirement of this role. Conditions in the field can be changeable and volatile, requiring varying degrees of vigilance and risk management.
Leadership and Collaboration:
Demonstrate leadership as a member of the North Queensland Leadership team.
Contribute to the corporate governance of the Housing Service Centre.
Develop relationships with stakeholders to improve services for customers within the Housing Service Centre catchment area.
Liaise and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support regional initiatives and improvements.
