Stores & Logistics Officer
Job Description
Responsible for managing inventory, stores operations, logistics coordination, and material movement to ensure accurate stock management, timely availability of materials, efficient dispatch operations, and smooth coordination with internal departments and the HQ team.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
• Maintain accurate records of raw materials, packaging materials, finished and semi-finished goods in the ERP system.
• Submit inventory and operational reports to Management and coordinate with the HQ team.
• Conduct regular stock audits, physical verification, and reconciliations.
• Monitor stock levels and maintain appropriate safety stock.
• Raise purchase requisitions and issue Purchase Orders (POs) at the defined re-order point.
Stores Operations
• Oversee day-to-day store activities, including receiving, storage, material handling, and dispatch.
• Ensure proper labelling, stacking, identification, and safety compliance in storage areas.
• Supervise store personnel and allocate tasks effectively.
• Ensure proper documentation and systematic storage of materials.
Logistics Coordination
• Plan and execute inbound logistics for raw materials, additives, spares, scrap, and other materials.
• Manage outbound dispatch of finished products, samples, tools, spares, and materials sent for repair or service.
• Coordinate vehicle placement, routing, and scheduling to ensure timely deliveries.
• Coordinate EXIM activities whenever required.
• Prepare and verify dispatch documentation, including GRNs, invoices, e-way bills, and other relevant documents.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Production, Procurement, Maintenance, Sales, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams.
• Ensure material availability is aligned with production schedules and operational requirements.
• Support commercial and supply chain fulfilment activities.
• Coordinate with relevant departments and the HQ team to resolve material, inventory, and logistics-related issues.
Required Skills & Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Commerce, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, stores operations, and logistics processes.
• Good working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of GRN, purchase orders, invoices, e-way bills, and dispatch documentation.
• Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
Preferred Experience
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in Inventory, Stores, Logistics, Warehouse, or Supply Chain Operations.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment will be preferred.
• Experience in handling raw materials, finished goods, spares, additives, and scrap.
• Experience in inbound and outbound logistics coordination.
• Exposure to EXIM activities and related documentation will be an added advantage.
• Prior experience in supervising store personnel and managing day-to-day warehouse/store operations will be preferred.
Pay: Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
