Absolute Storage Systems is a Australian owned and operated business located in Dandenong South. We specialise in designing and installing tailored warehouse solutions, repairs and ongoing maintenance for all pallet racking and shelving systems.
We have an opening in our warehouse for a 2IC's position with an immediate start required. We have a Warehouse Manager that oversees the day to day operation however we are looking for the right person that can support the WH and help lead the team.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate that they have previous experience in a similar role and have the right personality. You need to be confident, well spoken with clear communication skills so that you can lead by example.
We don't have the usual and standard warehouse environment. Our products are heavy and oversized and at times, require to be modified or assembled. Put simply, we don't deal with cartons or pallets.
This role requires a fit and healthy person that is not afraid of hard work . The day to day tasks are
picking and packing of pallet racking materials. These materials are steel and can be up to 10.5mtr in length so can be awkward to handle and heavy to lift.
forklift driving
building frames which required the use of power tools such as 5" grinders and drop saws
Loading and unloading trucks
re-working some materials that includes using grinders and other hand operated tools
Cleaning and keeping warehouse tidy at all times
Training will be given so that you understand the best method to handle products with care.
At a minimum we will only consider applicants that have the following skillset and experience:
Previous and proven experience in leadership roles
Have a current forklift license (LF) and general driving experience.
Previous warehouse experience
Excellent numeracy and record keeping skills.
Must be fit, strong and healthy to be able to handle the day to day workload and heavy products that will be continually handled throughout the day.
Strong verbal and written English is an must.

Applicates with the following skills and experience will be looked at favorably:
EWP License
MR Truck license or above
Experience in handling heavy and oversized products
Previous experience working for racking providers or racking installers
Any Warehouse certification qualifications
Any OH&S training
Previous experience with Microsoft office products
We will provide the required training necessary to ensure you are given every opportunity to succeed in this role.
This role is fulltime and permanent. Our operations works from 7.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
Must have permanent residency. Overseas applicates or people of temporary visas will not be considered.
