Store Assistant / Retail AssociateJob Summary
Arya Bakery & Market is looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking Store Assistant to join our team. This position involves assisting with the day-to-day operations of the store, helping customers, stocking products, packaging fresh bread and other items, and keeping the store clean and organized.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and provides friendly and helpful customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist customers with finding products and answering general questions
Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
Answer store phone calls and assist with customer inquiries
Package and prepare fresh bread and other bakery products for sale
Stock and organize shelves, refrigerators, freezers, and displays
Check products and displays to ensure they are properly stocked and organized
Receive and organize incoming products and deliveries
Help maintain product displays and keep the front of the store presentable
Keep counters, shelves, work areas, and customer areas clean and organized
Assist with basic cleaning and general store maintenance throughout the shift
Help with other store duties as needed
Qualifications
Must be legally entitled to work in Alberta, Canada, and able to provide appropriate documentation.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers.
Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
Able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to stand for extended periods and perform regular lifting and stocking duties.
Previous retail, grocery, bakery, or customer service experience is an asset, but not required.
Willingness to learn and take on different responsibilities.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and is willing to help wherever needed to keep the store running smoothly.
Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
