Our Technical, Advisory, and Capability practice and Team Downer serves as one of the Major Service Providers delivering consulting services and Integrated Work Packages across the Department of Defence, leveraging innovative approaches such as mission and digital engineering to enable the successful delivery of critical Defence programs.

This includes collaboration with key Defence entities, including Defence Digital Group (DDG), National Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), and branches across the Navy, Army, and Air Force .

We are currently seeking an experienced a Stock Assurance Officer for a Logistics Directorate, which plays a crucial role in supporting continuous naval shipbuilding. The position operates within a complex environment across Adelaide and Henderson, ensuring efficient logistics and supply chain management.

If successful in securing a role, your work may involve:

Training Compliance - Stay current with SQEP and mandatory training requirements.
Logistics Outfitting - Assist in consolidating and outfitting items for naval shipbuilding within allocated timeframes.
Inventory Codification - Catalogue stock in MILIS/ERP, compile Codification Data Packs, and verify receipt of delivered items.
Warehouse Operations: Handle stowage, inspection, and transportation of inventory, including dangerous goods.
Safety Process Improvement: Participate in warehouse safety discussions and contribute to continuous logistics improvements.
For this position we are seeking candidates with experience in logistics and stock assurance, particularly within naval shipbuilding operations. The role involves managing inventory, codification, load-out processes, and compliance with safety regulations.

Overseeing consolidation and outfitting of materials for naval operations.
Working within the logistics framework to ensure efficient stock management.
Managing inventory accuracy, codification, and compliance with material handling standards.
Our work is highly complex and confidential; applicants must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV1 security clearance. Additionally, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be necessary. In some cases, this may impose restrictions individuals who are dual citizens, permanent residency, or former nationality of specific countries as outlined in ITAR 126.1.
