Wairau Gateway is a joint venture between HEB Construction and Fulton Hogan, responsible for delivering the Integrated Delivery Contract maintaining Marlborough’s roading network.

The primary purpose of this position is to support the Marlborough IDC operations to set up, manage and remove maintenance work sites as per NZGTTM risk based approach.
Carry out a variety of traffic management tasks, as requested by managment
Compliance with completion of all paperwork to required standards
Directing incoming deliveries to site while ensuring the safety of workers and pedestrians, occasional management of crews.
Assist in the establishment, maintenance and removal of the site traffic management measures.
The STMS will be required to work on day or night shifts as required on local road projects and state highways (rural and urban).
Coach and train on site staff to ensure a high level of traffic management is maintained

Able to apply knowledge of a risk-based approach to day-to-day operations
Other duties as may be required within the HEB Group
Understand and uphold HEB Construction's Health and Safety Policy, Procedures, Standards and Rules
Take all practical steps to ensure personal safety and the safety of others in the workplace
Display positive and proactive attitudes towards safety and reduce harm always
Attend daily site briefings, toolbox talks, and other safety initiatives undertaken by Supervisors/Foremen, as well as actively participate in them
Attend safety training when required
Ensure all hazards have been identified and adequately controlled by the project team
Notify management of incidents
Be compliant with Safe work methodologies and report non-compliance to Supervisor
Ensure correct installation and maintenance of site safety measures and temporary works
Wear all safety clothing and equipment as required by HEB or Client Policies and for specific tasks (all safety clothing and equipment will be supplied by HEB)
Undertake tasks in a safe manner for both yourself, others on site and the public
