Responsibilities
Schedule: Full-time
Technicians will assist pharmacists in preparing sterile medications
This position is ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic, non-sterile compounding experience, and an interest in long-term pharmacy growth opportunities
Prepare sterile compounds and medications in a clean room environment
Follow USP <797> and <800> guidelines for sterile compounding
Maintain aseptic technique during all stages of preparation
Perform calculations to ensure accurate measurement and mixing of ingredients
Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as laminar flow hoods and autoclaves
Document all compounding activities and maintain accurate records
Assist in inventory management of medications and supplies
Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure quality and accuracy of compounded medications
Participate in quality assurance and quality control processes
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
Monitor temperature and humidity in clean room and storage areas
Assist in training new staff members on sterile compounding procedures
Stay updated on current compounding regulations and best practices
Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients as needed
Participate in continuous education and training programs
Assist in managing hazardous drug handling and disposal
Contribute to the development and improvement of standard operating procedures
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of compounding equipment
Assist in preparing and packaging final products for dispensing or shipping

About the Role
Rx relief is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technicians to join a high-volume 503A compounding pharmacy near Plano, TX. Technicians will assist pharmacists in preparing sterile medications.
