Stargazing Tour Guide
Job Description
Our unique star gazing tours focus on ensuring our guests feel like they are the only people in the universe experiencing the amazing night sky. Our guides use a mixture of state-of-the-art telescopes, lasers and virtual reality to enhance the guest experience followed by a relaxing soak in our hot pools.
We are looking for an amazing Stargazing Tour Guide to join our team located in Lake Tekapo, Canterbury in New Zealand. This is a permanent full-time role, with minimum 30 hours per week.
We are looking for a keen learner with a passion for astronomy who can remain focused and cares about keeping people safe and entertained. This person would join our existing team of Stargazing Guides entertaining customers during the night.
We can offer:
$28.00 per hour starting rate with guaranteed 30 hours

We are looking for someone with:
At least 2-year work experience in hospitality, preferably in tour guiding but suitable candidate can be considered with other relevant experience; Or a tertiary qualification in hospitality, culture communication, or similar may substitute the experience for the right candidate.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Must be comfortable in addressing groups (up to approx. 40 guests).
Photography knowledge in particualr for atrophotography and related technologies
Natural entertainer with great people skills and commitment to ensuring a unique and unforgettable guest experience.
A high level of fluency in English and ideally a second language
