Job SummaryAB2 West Gynaecology is a friendly and supportive female inpatient ward caring for women with a wide range of gynaecological needs, including acute, emergency, and planned admissions. We pride ourselves on providing compassionate, respectful, and person‐centred care, ensuring every woman feels listened to, supported, and cared for throughout her stay. AB2 West is a great place to grow and develop as a nurse. Main Duties

Delivering high quality nursing care and support for women with gynaecological problems.

Contributing to promoting a high standard of patient experience.

Contributing to the maintenance of infection control procedures.

Updating own knowledge and skills to promote excellence in clinical practice.

Contributing to clinical audit of service and outcomes.

Supporting the Senior Staff Nurse in developing and maintaining the highest specialised nursing care and to take remedial action when standards of care are not met.

Supporting the Senior Staff Nurse to maintain financial control and efficiency within the department.

Registered Nurse with current NMC registration

Nursing Diploma

Skills – Essential

Medication administration and management skills and knowledge

Knowledge of quality, standard setting and audit

Ability to manage and support the implementation of change to improve the service and patient care

Articulate with advanced written and verbal communication
