Staff Accountant

The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities Inventory Accounting - Work within NetSuite's Advanced Inventory module to monitor inventory activity, analyze inventory transactions, support inventory reconciliations, and ensure accurate inventory valuation and financial reporting.
• Prepare and maintain monthly inventory account reconciliations.
• Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger and investigate variances.
• Analyze inventory adjustments, write-offs, transfers, and inventory-related transactions.
• Assist with inventory reserve calculations, including excess and obsolete inventory reserves.
• Review inventory aging and support inventory valuation analyses.
• Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded and reflected in financial statements.
• Assist with month-end inventory close activities.

General

Accounting - Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Assist with external audit requests and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accounting records in accordance with US GAAP.

Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5+ years of accounting experience.
• 1-3 years of inventory accounting or inventory-related accounting experience.
• 2+ years of NetSuite experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
• Experience supporting month-end close processes.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications - CA or CPA candidate.
• Experience working in multi-entity environments.
• Experience supporting external audits.
• Familiarity with inventory costing methodologies including FIFO, Average Cost, or Standard Cost. NetSuite Advanced Inventory Experience Candidates should have working knowledge and practical experience with NetSuite inventory processes, including:

• Cycle Counts and Physical Inventory Processes
• Bin Management
• Lot and Serial Number Tracking
• Item Master Maintenance
• Saved Searches and basic reporting
• Inventory Cost Revaluations
• Assemblies and Work Order transactions
• Deep NetSuite administration expertise is not required; however, candidates should be comfortable navigating inventory transactions, researching discrepancies, and utilizing inventory-related reporting within NetSuite.
